BwPCon! 2026 is coming Saturday, June 13th!

About BwPCon!
BwPCon! is a FREE one day event featuring a wide range of local artists all gathered to show your their stuff! The event is heavily inspired by the Artist Alley halls traditionally found at comic and anime conventions, giving our nerdier friends a chance to gather and support community.
BwPCon! also features live music, special guests, cosplay, panels, trivia, and more! Not to mention our wonderful comic shop in the middle of it all, along with the Short Box food cart pod on the east side of the building.

VENDOR RULES & INFORMATION
General Info & Things to Know
This is an Outdoor Event! Vendors will be provided tents, but unfortunately Books with Pictures has not figured out how to control the weather yet.
This is a curated event; we will be selecting exhibitors with a focus on creating a vibrant mix of products and styles.
Applications will be open from February 6th to March 13th, and decisions will be sent no later than April 3rd. All applicants will receive an email with their status, whether accepted or not.
Mature themes in work ARE allowed, but you are required to tell us you’re selling them. so that we may place your table appropriately. 18+ items must be carded for, as this is an all ages event.
We will have a Kids Zone specifically aimed at family friendly guests and vendors, so if you have lots of work aimed at kids and teens, this will be a great spot for you.
Table Info & Prices
| Half Table | For guests with a small amount of product, mostly books, to sell. This is also an appropriate tier for groups doing informational tabling, rather than vending. Banners with your name are encouraged, but all product displays must fit on your half of the table. | $70 |
| Full Table | For guests with a larger variety of books, prints, and other merch to sell. Banners with your name are encouraged, but all product displays must fit on the table. | $140 |
| Full Tent | For guests with very established setups. You are welcome to bring your own fixtures to fill out the 10×10 space, including extra tables, chairs, etc. | $170 |
Tables and chairs are provided for by Books with Pictures, but you may bring your own if you prefer.
Rules
- Vendors must be 18+ or 16+ with a guardian’s permission.
- All 18+ material must be properly labeled and carded for as this is an all ages event.
- No resale of other goods allowed.
- No AI work allowed.
- You must be selling your own work, or work in which you were part of a team of contributors.
- Exhibitors commit to attending for the full event: if you are accepted, you must arrive by 10 am to begin setup, and may not begin strike until 7pm unless there are extenuating circumstances.
FAQ
Can I apply with a partner?
Yes! Splitting tables is perfectly alright, so long as both parties are included in the application. This means both artists names + portfolios.
Can I apply with a whole group?
Technically, yes. If you are a collective or group looking to share a vendor space please choose ONE person to be your representative, and have them fill out the form. Art examples from all parties are required. Max of two to a Table and four to a Vendor tent.
I’m an artist- can I apply for a half table?
Yes! anyone can apply for any table size that you think best suits your needs. We have them labeled as “Writer’s” and “Artist’s” for label convenience, but they’re not strict lines, and will not affect your placement.
Can I apply for multiple table sizes?
Yep! Choose whichever is your highest preference and then in the “anything else” section tell us if you’re flexible with it.
Will I get a heads up before being charged?
Yes. 100%. Fees are currently set to be “charged at a later date”, which means getting accepted will not automatically charge anyone. We hope to clearly communicate with our vendors before any charges go through, as randomly bankrupting people with surprise charges is very uncool and we don’t want to do that!
If you are NOT an artist/maker/writer/creator, but you are interested in tabling as an organization or as a BwPCon Sponsor, stay tuned for more details.
If you have any questions not answered here, please write to us at bwpcon@bookswithpictures.com

? FAQ ?
Is this an outdoor event?
Yes! BwPCon! takes place entirely outside, surrounding the Books with Pictures building. Tables are mainly planned to be on Orange Ave, on both the sidewalk and a blocked-off portion of the street. The garden area and Division sidewalks both have adequate shade thanks to trees, but the Orange Ave Sidewalk is pretty in the open.
Will there be Food?
Books with Pictures is home to the Shortbox food carts, located on the east side of the building. They will be open throughout the day per their individual hours.
Will there be shelter from the elements?
All vendors will be covered by a tent/canopy! We want to make sure everyone is safe from the sun or rain. (Hey, it’s Portland.)
Can we Cosplay?
ABSOLUTELY. You can, and absolutely should come visit us in your snazziest costumes. The Cosplay Competition signup opens at 10 am, and starts at 1pm!
Can we bring our kid/dog/unicorn/etc?
Yes! BwPCon is an all ages event, and BwP is a dog friendly store. So long as everyone is well behaved, then everyone is welcome.
Is the comic store still open during all of this?
Yes! Books with Pictures is open right in the center of all this and would absolutely love it if you stopped in in the midst of it all. Get a book for our guests to sign, or learn where that trivia question came from! Snag a zine from a local creator who couldn’t make it, get some gifts for your friends! COME ON IN!
